How To Choose The Perfect Wedding Theme
So, you’ve decided on the date, found the venue, picked the dress, now what!? First things first, you’re going to need to pick a theme! Which I know, can be very overwhelming. Nowadays, there are dozens to choose from which makes a decision like this even more challenging. I have come up with a list of things to consider in order to curb any feelings of anxiety around this topic.
Themes can get extravagant and sometimes, unfortunately, expensive when taken out of hand. You may feel like you NEED to have every little detail to match your theme right down to the straws but before diving all in to a theme, consider how much money you have left to work with. If things are tight, you might be better off opting for a more classic or minimalistic theme.
Your Favorite Colors
It might sound silly, but choosing a wedding theme is so much simpler if you use your favorite color as the basis for your decision! Take red for instance, an Old Hollywood Glam theme would work perfectly!
Are you having your wedding in summer, fall, winter, or spring!? In most cases, this could be the deciding factor. Those of you who will be getting married in December should avoid nautical themes unless of course you’re getting married at the beach which brings me to my next point to consider.
A large portion of your wedding budget will be going towards the venue so the last thing you want is for your theme to not coordinate! Instead, use your venue as an inspiration for your theme to find what balances with the mood and atmosphere the best!
Last, but not least, make sure to stay true to yourself through every decision that you make when planning your wedding. After all, it is the most important day of your life and you should be in love with every aspect of it!
I hope this helps all you and your sweetheart narrow down your options when choosing your theme! But remember, if you need a little more personal guidance for deciding on a theme be sure to schedule a consultation with me! For a stress-free planning process, be sure to click here to book!
